Get Started with Splivid

Splivid turns your iPad into a live visual instrument. In a few minutes you’ll be triggering clips, stacking effects, and locking everything to the beat. Here’s the quick path from empty canvas to live show.

What you’ll need: an iPad. Optionally, headphones or a speaker so you can hear the music you’re reacting to — and for a show, a projector, monitor, or TV with the right adapter or AirPlay.

1Load content onto pads

Splivid is built around a grid of pads. Tap an empty pad and choose what goes on it:

Fill a few pads so you have material to play with.

2Trigger a pad

Tap a pad to bring it to the canvas. You can trigger pads by touch, lock them to the tempo, or set them to follow a pattern so they fire themselves in time. Mix and match to build movement.

3Stack effects

Open a pad’s effects and add one from the engine — echoes, kaleidoscopes, tiles, distortions, glitches, blurs, and color and light. Chain several to build a look. Every parameter is tweakable, and each effect starts from musical defaults, so it looks good before you touch a thing.

4Make it move with the music

This is where Splivid comes alive. Turn on the microphone or load an audio file, then map any effect parameter to the sound — loudness, beat, peak, envelope, or time. Your visuals will pulse, morph, and animate in sync with the music.

5Set the tempo & sequence

Set your tempo so tempo-locked pads and patterns stay on the beat. Build a sequence to move through pads and looks hands-free, so the set can carry itself while you focus on performing.

6Record & export

Capture your whole session and export it as a video to your photo library — ready to share anywhere.

7Send it to the big screen Pro

Connect your iPad to a projector, monitor, or TV, and Splivid sends a clean, full-screen mix to that display — just the visuals, no controls or overlays. Your controls stay on the iPad. External-display output is part of Splivid Pro.

Free vs. Splivid Pro

Splivid is free to play with — load content, build looks, react to sound, and export. Subscribing to Splivid Pro unlocks the full rig:

Splivid Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (Monthly or Annual; price shown in the app). Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings.
