What is Splivid?
Splivid turns your iPad into a live visual instrument. You load clips and photos onto pads, stack GPU effects, lock everything to the beat, and send a clean full-screen mix to a projector or TV. It’s built for VJs, live performers, and anyone who wants their visuals to move with the music.
What do I need to run it?
An iPad. To hear the music you’re reacting to, headphones or a speaker help; for a show, you’ll want a projector, monitor, or TV with the right adapter or AirPlay.
What content can I put on pads?
Videos and photos from your Camera Roll or the Files app, plus Blozzum generative presets and Sploopy loops. Splivid works with the standard video and photo formats your iPad supports.
Can I make visuals react to my own music?
Yes. Use the microphone for live sound, or load an audio file, then map any effect parameter to loudness, beat, peak, envelope, or time.
Is Splivid free?
Yes — Splivid is free to play with. You can load content, build looks, react to sound, and export. A Splivid Pro subscription removes the watermark and unlocks external-display output.
What does Splivid Pro cost?
Splivid Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered Monthly or Annual. The exact price is shown in the app and varies by region.
How do I manage, cancel, or restore my subscription?
Manage or cancel anytime in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions (subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends). If you reinstall or switch devices, use Restore Purchases in the app. Refunds are handled by Apple via Report a Problem.
Why is there a watermark?
The free version shows a watermark on the canvas, recordings, and exports. Subscribing to Splivid Pro removes it everywhere.
How do I connect to a projector or TV?
Connect your iPad to the display with an adapter or AirPlay. Splivid then sends a clean, full-screen mix — just the visuals, no controls — to that screen, while your controls stay on the iPad. External-display output is part of Splivid Pro.
How do I record and export? Where do exports go?
Record your session in the app and export it as a video. Exports are saved to your photo library, so make sure Splivid has photo access (Settings > Splivid).
Does Splivid collect my data?
No. Splivid has no accounts and no logins, contains no analytics or tracking, and does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. Your camera and microphone are used on-device only. See the Privacy Policy.
Why does it ask for camera, microphone, and photo access?
Camera and microphone power live features and sound reactivity on your device; photo access lets you bring in your own media and save what you export. You can change any of these in Settings.
My visuals aren’t reacting to sound.
Check that microphone access is enabled in Settings > Splivid, that you’ve chosen an audio source (mic or file), and that a parameter is mapped to the sound.
My export didn’t show up in Photos.
Confirm Splivid has photo-library access in Settings > Splivid, then try the export again.
Nothing appears on my external display.
External-display output requires Splivid Pro. Also check your cable/adapter or AirPlay connection and that the display is selected as the output.
My iPad runs warm during long sessions.
Real-time GPU rendering is demanding. Plug in for long sessions or shows, and consider simplifying heavy effect chains if you need to run cooler.
